He was predeceased by : his parents, DeVerne Smith and Opal Smith; his sisters, Nada Smith, Elaine Stoikes, Neva Bolstad and Marie Sutherland; his daughter-in-law Shannon Smith; and his grandson Louis Porter Smith.
He is survived by : his children, Tonia Smith, Stacy Smith (Dave Kammerud), Scott Smith (Anna Hundt Golden), Cindy Smith and Jamie Smith; his brother Tim Smith (Kate); his niece Peg Ledman; and his sister Karen Smith. He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
