John Hastie Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Hastie of Darlington, Wisconsin, who passed away on May 23, 2026, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

In the hush of twilight, as the stars twinkle in silent homage, we reflect on the legacy John leaves behind and his impact on the lives of his loved ones. Though John may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Robert Hastie III and Gwendolyn Mary Hastie (Harper); and his niece Kelly Mencel. He is survived by: his wife Judy Hastie; his children, John Hastie of Darlington and Anne Janette Hastie of New Jersey; his sister Susan Mencel (Joseph); and his nephew Steve Mencel (Beth).

In lieu of flowers and plants a memorial fund has been established in John's name.
