He is survived by: his wife Margaret Bales; his children, Nicholas Bales (Jessica) of Topeka, KS and Valarie Kazda (Steve) of DeForest, WI; and his grandchildren, Rachel, Jack, Katy, Leigha, Wyatt, Weston and Ellie. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
