With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Walter Mathys of Darlington, Wisconsin, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 24, 2025 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfred Mathys and Josephine Mathys (Kippel); his wife Marian Mathys of Michael's Catholic Church; his brother Alfred Jr.; and his brother-in-law Donald Moe.
He is survived by: his close friend Judy Riley; his siblings, Helen Moe, Mary Jantz (Roger), John Mathys (Karen) and Jim Mathys (Judy); his sister-in-law Janet Mathys; and his grandchildren, Lee Kilcoyne, Shannon Hellenbrand (Jeremiah), Shaina Kilcoyne (Ryan Schryver), Mandi Kilcoyne (Alex Porter), Lance Kilcoyne, Brady Mathys (Ashley), Shianne Mathys (Ryan Taylor), Daniel Domek (Courtney Stinnett), Madelyn Domek and Emily Domek. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
