It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilbert Schmid (De Forest, Wisconsin), who passed away on April 30, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Wilbert Schmid to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his father Wilhelm "William" Schmid; his wife Jytte Dahl Schmid (Jepsen); and his siblings, Sanford, Donald, Delmar, Glenn and Dorothea Fetherston.
He is survived by: his sons, Jay W. Schmid of Laguna Beach and Keith C. Schmid (Paula) of Saratoga Springs; and his grandchildren, Evan K. Schmid and Dana C. Schmid.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to any of the organizations that Will actively supported. They are: UW Carbone Cancer Center, Wounded Warrior Project, Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
