He was predeceased by: his wife Bernice; his parents, Claude Smith and Viola Smith (Vandenberg); his son-in-law Roger Stedl; and his siblings, Jim Smith (Neva) and Shirley Basten.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Smith (Joann), Kevin Smith (Cyndee Sweetland) and Julie Stedl; his grandchildren, Kristy Maney (Dillon), Brian Smith, Carrie Peters (Ross), Jared Stedl (Cara) and Shantel Stedl; his great grandchildren, Olivia Stedl, Isabella Stedl, Braydon Maney, Chandler Maney and Emma Peters; and his sister Claudette Renard. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
