He is survived by: his children, Linda Wenzel, Paul Van Den (Debra), Faye McKee, John Van Den (Molly) and LaVern Baumgart (Vern); and his grandchildren, Lisa DeRuyter, Leah Van Den Bush, Brett Van Den (Brook), Sarah Sanchez (Adam), Scott Van Den Langenberg, Stephanie Taylor, Victoria Brian (Joe) and Brandon Sell. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
