As Joan departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Joan leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Pomprowitz and Helen Pomprowitz of De Pere, Wisconsin.. She is survived by: her children, Peggy Siebert (Eric) of Lake Forest, Illinois, Fritz Schaupp (Melissa) of Wilmette, Illinois, Hans Schaupp (Mary) of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Ilse Schaupp Sidles (Chuck) of Wilson, Wyoming; and her brother Jack Pomprowitz (Mary) of Carmel. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Old St. Joseph Catholic Church (100 Grant Street, De Pere, WI 54115). A Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
She obtained a Master of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay in 1982, a DMin from the Graduate Theological Foundation in 1996, and studied theology in Oxford, England.
