He was predeceased by : his parents, Everett Benz and Doris Benz (Slang); his brother Roger; and his brother-in-law Jim Feudner. He is survived by : his wife Karen Geske; his sons, Kory Benz (Kathy), Kirby Benz and Kyle Benz (Lori); his grandchildren, Katie Benz, Kara Benz, Kolleen Raymond (Tyler), Madeline and Brayden Benz; his great grandchildren, Evie, Luci and Gus Raymond; his siblings, Jan Feudner, Evans Benz (Patricia), Richard Benz (Diane), Lyle Benz (Pat) and Cheryl Habeck (Ron); and his sister-in-law Marilynn Benz (Dennis). He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Peace Lutheran Church (1954 County Rd U, Green Bay, WI 54313). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, May 3rd 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Pine Hill Cemetery.
