He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Helander and Peggy Helander (Burckle); and his brother-in-law Ted Heiser. He is survived by: his wife Pamela Helander; his children, Nicholas Helander (Tracy) and Olivia Marcis (Brett); his sisters, Victoria Helander and Valerie Paque-Helander; Judy Malkowski. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and their children.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that you consider contributing to the family foundation to be formed in Peter's name in support of STEM education.
