He was predeceased by : his parents, Edward Hetzel and Viola Hetzel (Dehl); and his brother David Hetzel. He is survived by : his wife Alberta Sterk; and his stepchildren, Doug Sterk (Mary), Chris Flippo (Lon), Bill Sterk (Val), Kathy Sterk (David), Jim Sterk (Lisa), Faith Wygle (Adam) and Carl Waupoose.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Green Bay First (1460 Shawano Ave, Green Bay, WI 54303). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 27th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
