He was predeceased by: his parents, Raphael Gevers and Loretta Gevers; his siblings, James and Virginia Jansen; his brothers-in-law, Bernie Achten, Stu Jansen and Thomas Hurley Jr.; and his nephews, Jimmy Acthen and Andy Gevers.
He is survived by: his wife Sue Hurley; his children, Heather Willems (Russ), Greg Gevers (Sheri) and Matt Gevers (Kim Simmons); his grandchildren, Garrett (Erin), Austin (Angela), Michaela (Trent), Mason (Zoe), Merrick, Colin and Cody; his great grandchild Brannigan; his sister Mary Achten; and his in-laws, Shirley Gevers, Sam Hurley, Eileen Hurley and Dan Hurley (Sue). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Instead, a memorial fund will be established.
