He is survived by: his children, Catherine Trumpy (Eugene), Robert Holmes Jr. (Julia), Mary Holmes, Laurie Thompson, Kenneth Holmes (Sharon), Ruth Zych and Christine Chambers (Frederik); his grandchildren, Shae Schenk (Andrew), Julia Trumpy, Rachel Trumpy (Allen Sutton), Emily Holmes, Matthew Holmes, Beth DeGrand, Jonathan Thompson (Angel), Robert Thompson, Joshua, Austin Holmes, Brady Zych, Ethan Chambers and Cole Chambers; his great grandchildren, George, Eleanor Schenk, Isla Sutton, Matthew Holmes, Alex Holmes, Neveah DeGrand, Nathan DeGrand, Kaleb DeGrand, Benjamin and Hannah Thompson; and his brother-in-law Raymond Micolichek. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
