He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Van Straten Sr. and Norma Van Sychle; his brother Jerry Van Straten; and his sibling's children, Jessica Van Straten, Jessica Tassoul, Anthony Edwards (Tony) and Ronald Van Straten Jr..
He is survived by: his niece Tracy Van Straten; and his siblings, Mark (Donna), David, Ronald Van Straten and Theresa Smith. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Ryan Funeral Home & Crematory (305 N 10th St, De Pere, WI 54115). A memorial service was held on Monday, December 1st 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
