He was predeceased by: his parents, Adolph Burich and Anna Burich (Radey); his brothers, Raymond, Leonard, Robert and James; and his in-laws, Theodora Vogel, Irene Fromholz (Lawrence), Angeline Bump (Percy), Margaret Manlick (Norman), Hilaria Pankratz (Michael), Rober, Florence Leighty (Leland), Joseph Vogel, Arthur Vogel (Dorothy), Harold Vogel (Dorothy) and James Vogel (Leona).

He is survived by: his wife Delores Burich of Michael's Church; his sons, Russ Burich (Karen), Rick Burich (Renee) and Randy Burich (Lisa); and his siblings-in-law, LaVerne, Shirley, Rosalie, Barbara Burich, Viola Vogel and Jerome Vogel (Judy). He is also survived by 6 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

He was also chosen to return to Korea with the Honor Flight in 2020, however due to Covid, the trip was cancelled.
