She was predeceased by: her parents, Herschel Whitney and Ida Whitney (Baumer); her siblings, Milo, Raymond, Charles, Melvin, Robert, Lorraine Longmire, Juanita Bakken, Shirley Hooverson and Judith Whitney; and her siblings-in-law, Bert Higgs, Kenneth Hooverson, Roger Bakken and Clara Whitney (Galloway).
She is survived by: her sisters, Bernice Higgs of Viroqua, Doris Blackburn (Donald) of Janesville and Sharon Groves (Steve) of Texas; and her sister-in-law Mary Whitney (Spalla) of Tomah. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, friends.
Marian's favorite project was raising money for the American Cancer Society as the "Whitney Walkers" family organizer for Relay for Life.
