It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James G. Byrd Sr. of DeForest, Wisconsin, who passed away on November 11, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, James R. Byrd and Iris P. Byrd (Dawson); his siblings-in-law, Rueben, Andy and Rosemary Anderson; his sister Veronica Byrd Jenson; and his siblings-in-law, Mary Anderson and James Anderson.

He is survived by : his wife Carol Anderson; his sons, James "Jim" Jr. Byrd (Terri) of DeForest and Jon Byrd (Shannon) of Monticello; his grandchildren, Shaun Byrd, Cassidy Byrd and Graham Byrd; his siblings, Paul Byrd (Mary) of Utah, Yvonne and Valerie; his siblings-in-law, Paul Anderson (RoJeane) of Waunakee and Ann Broske (Dale) of Janesville; his close friend Dave "Oscar" Hamre; and his best buddy canine Bo. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles in England, and many nephews, nieces, friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, American Diabetes Association, or to the Dane County Humane Society.
