He was predeceased by : his parents, Robert Ethun and Dorothy Ethun; his brother Gordon Lemke; his mother-in-law Susan Geishirt; and his wife Barbara Ethun.

He is survived by : his siblings, Rolf Ethun, Paul Ethun, Claudia Ethun, Scott Ethun and Mina Lemke Esser; and his in-laws, Steve Geishirt, Karen Eisner, Dave Geishirt, Pat Ethun and Sue Ethun. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
