She was predeceased by: her parents, Maynard Sjoerdsma and Dena Sjoerdsma (Pynacker); her husband Mitchell Venema; her brother Henry; and her sister-in-law Ann.
She is survived by: her children, Susan (Barry), Karen, Mitchell Jr. (Nancy) and Jean (Sean); her grandchildren, Michelle (Bob), Matthew (Nicole) and Melissa (Cody); and her great grandchildren, J. R., Jake, Braxton, Mylah, Emmitt and Callan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
