In the sacred silence of farewell, Bertus is released into the embrace of eternity, knowing that his light will continue to shine brightly in the tapestry of the lives of his loved ones. And as his memory is carried forward, may comfort be found in the knowledge that love is eternal, and that Bertus' spirit lives on in the beauty that surrounds us.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley and Marjory; his son James; and his brothers, Gerald and Burnell.
He is survived by: his wife Anne; his children, Gregory Cook (Denise), Connie Hoffman (Robert) and Thomas Cook; his stepsons, Gregory Isler (Angela) and Doug Isler; and his sister Dorothy Murray. He is also survived by 6 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Delavan American Legion (111 S 2nd St, Delavan, WI 53115).
