With sadness, we share the passing of Donald C. Schmaling of Delavan, Wisconsin. Donald, born on September 2, 1936, passed away on July 19, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Schmaling and Esther Schmaling (Klug); his sister Elinor Ann Reynolds (Schmaling); his granddaughter Jennifer Schmaling; his great grandchild Ashton Adams; and his siblings-in-law, Diane Wilson and Jack Reynolds.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Wilson; his children, Jean Duesterbeck (Bill) of Delavan, Joyce Smalley (Dennis) of Westby, WI, John Schmaling (Jill) of Delavan, Joann Kayser (Paul) of Burlington and Jerri Mayes (Kevin) of St. Augustine, FL; and his brothers-in-law, Ron Wilson (Betty) and Alan Wilson. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and their spouses; 32 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School or the Marshfield Ronald McDonald House.
