It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jacob S. Friesema of Delavan, Wisconsin, born in Racine, Wisconsin, who passed away on August 19, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Friesema and Bertha Friesema (Fortuin); his brothers, John, George, Gilbert and Gerhardt; and his brothers-in-law, Peter Hiemstra and Ted Ham.
He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Joan Swets (Ed) of Elkhorn, Bill Friesema of Delavan, Patricia Elgersma (Bill) of Greenwood, WI and David Friesema (Kathy) of Sharon; his sisters, Elizabeth Hiemstra of Delavan and Margaret Ham of Lansing, IL; and his sister-in-law Laverne Friesema of Lake Geneva. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
