He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Anderson and Dorothy Merrifield Anderson; his wife Mary Nell; his son Richard; and his brothers-in-law, Edwin Schalmo, John Sanders and Jim Patterson.

He is survived by: his children, Timothy Anderson (Patricia) of Fort Collins, CO and Karen Bernick (Dan) of Long Grove, IA; his grandchildren, Brandon Anderson of Cudahy, WI, James Anderson of Longmont, CO, Brittney Anderson of Long Beach, CA, Jon Anderson, Guadalajara, Mexico and Hope Bernick of Long Grove, IA.; his siblings, Elizabeth Schalmo of Madison and Charles Anderson of San Benito; and his sister-in-law Linda Patterson of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
