He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Schmid and Margaret Schmid (Woiak); his wife Sharon Schmid of Philip's Catholic Church; his granddaughter Ann Marie; and his siblings, Robert Schmid and Carol Stanislowski (Stash).
He is survived by: his children, James "Jim" Schmid (Janice), Joseph "Joe" Schmid (Vicki), Debra "Debe" Dutton (Will), Donald "Donnie" Schmid (Lynne), Ronald "Ronnie" Schmid, Robin Schmid and Todd Schmid (Michelle).
