He is survived by: his parents, Mike Bates and Cathy Bates (Vojtasek) of Ladysmith; his wife Nancy Carter; his children, Sierra Auth (TJ) of Menomonie and Dane of Menomonie; his granddaughter Hollyn; and his sisters, Kim Sevals (Steve) of Rice Lake and Nicki Bosteder (Dustin) of Conrath. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
