He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Sockness and Arlene Sockness. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his son Brian Sockness (Heather); his siblings, Paul (Jonie May) and Terry Schaitel (Mike); his stepsons, Andrew and Nicholas Johnson; his stepgrandchildren, Melanie, Clara Ava and Asher; his mother-in-law Eloda Birch; his niece Tommi Heckler (Andy); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Carson and Tanner; his nephew Tyler Schaitel (Amanda); and his great-nephew Colton. He is also survived by her his brother-in-law's and sister-in-law.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Glenn's memory to Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital.
