He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Potrykus and Antoinette Potrykus (Hapka); his wife Elaine Potrykus; and his siblings, Agnes, Harry, Chester, Artie and Eugene.
He is survived by: his children, Scott Potrykus (Beth) of Franklin, Pam Nejedlo (Jim) of Delafield and Kari Hoyt (Garrett) of Mukwonago; his grandchildren, Evan Potrykus (Brittany), Alex Potrykus (Sami), Ethan Potrykus, Griffen Potrykus (Jensen), Caitlin Drake (Jonah), J. T. Nejedlo, T. J. McCormick, Joe McCormick (Lindsey) and Kati Adam (Aaron); his great grandchildren, Hudson, Miles, Owen, Jack, Will, Mya and Eli; and his sister Virginia Boehler of Milwaukee. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
