He was predeceased by: his wife Juanita Sapp Habasek; and his sons, Christopher Habasek, John Habasek, Jr. and Per. He is survived by: his girlfriend Marian Salyers of Palmyra; his daughter Margaret Habasek of Chicago; his brother Jerry Zanders of Chicago; his stepchild Saferrah Sapp; his stepgrandchild Mendell Foreman; and his stepdaughter Candice Burton. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
