He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Pohlhammer and Frieda Pohlhammer (Paukner); his wife Irma Lamberg; his daughter Diane; and his sister Mary.

He is survived by: his pet Sara; his sons, Joe, Jeff (Sue), Gary (Colleen) and Dan (Connie); and his grandchildren, Jason, Nathan, Melissa, Jessica, LaDina, Brian, Crystal, Jennifer, Cassie, Olivia, Tiffany, Cody and Cayla.
