He was predeceased by: his wife Dorothy; and his brother Aloysius Pitterle. He is survived by: his children, Mary Claire Fu (Wally), Janet Holt (Kyle), Virginia Szatkowski (Jake), Susan Olson (Ken), Monica Jeffries (Jim) and Richard Pitterle (Elissa); his sister Dolores Neuman; his grandchildren, Kevin Fu, Sarah Espada (Jorge), Laura Fu, Eric Fu, Michael Holt, Scot Szatkowski, Katazyna Park (Paul), Miranda, Alexandria Jeffries, Alphons and Francisca Pitterle; and his great grandchildren, Henry, Walter Fu, Samuel, Eva and Amalia Espada. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Monsignor Klimek Healing Presence Endowment of the HSHS Sacred Heart Foundation or Eau Claire Meals on Wheels.
