He was predeceased by: his parents, Leon T. Eckwright and Lillian E. Eckwright (Birtzer); and his brother Verlin L. Eckwright. He is survived by: his sister Charlotte Rone (Pete); his sibling's children, Tammy Miller, Dawn Stevens (Nick), Randy Eckwright (Sally), Mike Eckwright, Patty Eckwright and Debbie Lemay (Dan); and his close friend Lady. He is also survived by several great nieces and nephews; many great-great nieces and nephews.
