She was predeceased by: her parents, Norman Stenzel and Mae Stenzel (Jarabek). She is survived by: her former husband Tom Strubel of New Berlin, WI; her sons, Jeffrey "Jeffy" Strubel (Karin) of Hales Corners, WI and Michael "Mikey" Strubel (Tracy) of Eau Claire, WI.; and her great-nieces, Beth, Heather and Becky.

Memorials can be made in her honor to the Alzheimer's Association or Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
