He was predeceased by: his grandmother Clara Stovern (Henry Amundson); his parents, Louise Stovern and Adolph Stovern; his grandparents, Gus, Olivia Johnson and Edward Stovern; his brother Alan "Bruce" Stovern; and his nephew Samuel Buckley.

He is survived by: his children, Molly McGlynn (Tom) and Chad Stovern (Leslie); and his siblings, Beverly Schultz of Mauston, WI, Anita Meysembourg (Len) of Spooner, WI, James Stovern (Terri) of Montana and Drs. He is also survived by five grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, friends may consider donations to the Samuel Buckley Memorial Fund at Colfax Lutheran Church.
