He was predeceased by: his parents, Irvin Deardorff and Mable Deardorff (Hoover); his wife Darlene; his brother Ronald Deardorff; and his brother-in-law Ron Cooper.

He is survived by: his close friend Dianne Schmidt; his sisters, Lois Thomas (Cam) of Eau Claire and Joyce Andress (Jim) of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; his sisters-in-law, Donna Rubenzer (Jerry) of Chippewa Falls, Diane Weiss of Altoona and Debra Isham (Mike) of Eau Claire; John, Betty, Julie, Brenda, Connie and Steve. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
