David Raether Obituary
David Raether passed away on Sunday, October 15th, 2023 in Eau Claire, at the age of 70. David grew up in Eau Claire and was a graduate of North High School, Class of 1971. He lived the last 38 years in the tiny town of Genesee Depot in Southeast Wisconsin. David worked for years as a fluid power salesman & retired from Pentair as a Customer Service Rep. He loved his family and many friends dearly. David had the greatest sense of humor, loved fishing, spending time up north, and The Packers. He was always the life of the party!
He is survived by his daughter, Erika Raether-Strelecki, 3 stepchildren- David (Annette) Truslow, Melissa Graber, and Lara Truslow, 5 grandchildren- Haylie & Davina, Cole & Bryna, and Morgan, 2 great-grandchildrenCharlotte & Easton, 2 brothers- Don Raether & Gene (Judy) Noel, a sister- Donna Seidler and many nieces and nephews.
David was preceded in death by his adoptive parents- Elmer & Ella Raether, and his biological parents- Lee & Jeanie Noel.
A small service and celebration of life are being planned in Eau Claire for the first weekend in January, 2024. Details will be posted at a later date on David's Facebook page.
