He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Dewitz and Doris Dewitz; his sisters, Arlie Lund and Linda Gesche (Lynn); his parents-in-law, Ed and Phyllis Landis; and his siblings-in-law, John Moss, Tom Sumner and Kathy Landis.
He is survived by: his wife Jennie; his daughters, DeDe Dewitz and Kelly Amussen (Chad); his grandchildren, Kendyl and Reese Asmussen; his siblings, Bill Dewitz (Julie) and Pat Biegel (Ted); his siblings-in-law, Steven Landis, Ken Landis (Krista), Wils Lund, Kate Moss, Carol Sumner and Paula Heuer (Gary); and his friend Bobbi Paulsrud. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Stokes, Prock & Mundt Funeral Chapel (535 S Hillcrest Pkwy, Altoona, WI 54720). A celebration of life will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 27th 2025 from 2:15 PM to 2:30 PM at the Rest Haven Cemetery (5750 Old Town Hall Rd, Eau Claire, WI 54701).
