Kathy Arbeiter wrote a sympathy message

“I am so sad to see this news...Doug was such a special man. I loved working for Doug at the Herter's store while I was attending UWEC. He was such a kind and caring boss, who ended up being more like a friend and mentor. That was nearly 40 years ago...and yet I can still hear his voice and see those lively eyes! I will treasure his memory always, and grieve to know he is gone from this world, but hoping he is singing praises in another. God bless, Tim and Kathy Arbeiter Houston, Texas”
