He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Buchanan and Sadie Buchanan (Miller); his wife Lois Buchanan of John's Lutheran Church; and his brothers, David, Clarence and Keith.
He is survived by: his sister Kathleen Oyen of Lodi; his daughters, Rebecca Humphrey (Larry) of San Antonio, TX and Emily Pettersen of Altoona; and his grandson Brandon Buchanan (Skylee Lara) of Beloit.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Family Promise of the Chippewa Valley (formerly Beacon House) and/or Trinity Lutheran Church in Eau Claire.
