He was predeceased by: his parents, Lucille Bartlett and Carl Bugbee; and his siblings, Doris Hamilton and Jerry Bugbee. He is survived by: his close friend Ann Bugbee; his children, James Bugbee Jr. (Kaylee) and Teresa Cavanaugh; his grandsons, Tyler Huse (Liz), Ethan Cavanaugh and Evyn Cavanaugh; his great grandchild Elijah Huse; and his siblings, Dave Bugbee (Becky) and Laura. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Jim was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on Sunday afternoon, November 20, 2022, at the age of 84 due to complications of Parkinson's.
