He was predeceased by: his parents, Sever and Lillie Severson; his wife Norma Roach (Min); and his brothers, John, Stanley and Thomas.
He is survived by: his daughter Fran Novak (Joseph, Sr.) of Richfield, MN; his grandson Joseph Jr. Novak (Barbara) of Shakopee, MN; and his great grandchildren, Brooklyn and Ryan Novak.
