She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Olson and Emily Olson (Marik); her husband Donald "Donnie" Peterson; her daughter Carol; her son-in-law Richard Froehlich; and her parents-in-law, Henry and Irma Peterson (Colbert).

She is survived by: her daughters, Laurie Hysen (Tyler Widen) of Altoona and Judy Wampole (Michael) of Apache Junction, AZ; and her sisters-in-law, Mary Peterson of Eau Claire and LaVerne Peterson of Chetek. She is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Eau Claire County Humane Association.
