She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Fleming and Edith Fleming (Swenson); her husband Bill Schaefer (Bill); her brothers, Rodney and Nordahl Fleming; and her son Douglas Schaefer.
She is survived by: her children, Darryl Schaefer (Debbie) of Altoona, Karen Schaefer (Darby Walbon) of Leesburg, FL and Brenda Joswiak (Tom) of Eau Claire; her daughter-in-law Desiree Schaefer of Allentown, PA; her grandchildren, Eric, Scott, Adrian, Ashley, Mark and Luke; and her great grandchildren, Emerson, Declan, Jordyn and Bryce. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
