He was predeceased by: his parents, Thad Gardner and Lorna Gardner; and his sisters, Jacquelyn Peterson (Gardner) and Joan Eyeington (Gardner). He is survived by: his wife Yan Li; his children, Chad (Angeline) of Eau Claire, WI, Andy (Randi) of Madison, WI and Yuting of St. Paul, MN; his grandchildren, Josephine, Daphne and Wyatt; and his sisters, Denise Paine (Richard) of Breezy Point, MN and Linda Gardner (Jim Volp) of Maple Grove, MN. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation.
