He was predeceased by: his parents, Mike Shapkaroff and Sophia Shapkaroff (Koleff); his niece Sarah Stelzleni; and his nephew David Trieschman. He is survived by: his former wife Irene Stambolos; his siblings, Vasil Shapkaroff (Nancy) of Valparaiso, Kathleen Stelzleni of Mondovi, WI and Marlene Trieschman of Yorba Linda, CA.; his nieces and nephews, Cori Kale (Brian Mansfield), Kate Shapkaroff, Michael Stelzleni (Tanya), Jonathan Stelzleni (Cassandra Pereda) and Stephen Trieschman (Serena); his great-nieces, Hannah Mangus (Jake), Lila Kale, Sophia, Alayna and Mara; his nephew Ezra Stelzleni; and his close friends, Joe, Judy Forgett and David Muligan.
