He was predeceased by: his wife Judith Hanlin; his parents, Eldon Hanlin and Georgia Hanlin; and his siblings, Eldon "Al", Robert "Bob", Neal, Richard "Dick" Hanlin and Joan Straub (Hanlin).
He is survived by: his daughter Becky Hanlin; his son-in-law Tyler Erickson; and his niece Krissi Olsen (Ryan Olsen).
