It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Runningen of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, born in La Crosse, Wisconsin, who passed away on September 16, 2023, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver A. Olson and Rose Olson (Hadl); her husband Robert Paul Runningen; her brothers, Archie (Valeria), Lawrence (Martha) and Clayton Olson (Mae); her siblings-in-law, James, Ed (Roberta), John Runningen (Peggy) and Carol Runningen; and her nephews, Gene Olson and Dennis Runningen.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Beth Beckwith (William) of Eau Claire and Thomas Runningen (Jody) of Plymouth, WI; her grandsons, Christopher and Daniel Beckwith of Eau Claire; and her brother-in-law Charles Runningen of Milwaukee, WI. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

After retiring, Myrtle graciously donated her time volunteering at Sacred Heart Hospital at the front desk.
