He was predeceased by: his wife Jocelyn Stokes; his parents, Morris and Nora; and his brother Richard. He is survived by: his children, Kristine (James), Kyle (Carmen), Kenton and Jocelyn (Roger); his grandchildren, Lisa (Ron), Sara, Heather (Elizabeth), Jennifer (Joseph), Ryan and Gavin; and his great grandchildren, Weston, Camryn, Austin, Brenna, Claira, Naiya and Jocelyn.

In his final years, he spent his time at Grace Lutheran Foundation facilities in both Eau Claire and Altoona.
