He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert E. Nelson and Ruby M. Nelson (Howe); his sister Kay Whitney (John); and his nephew John L. Whitney, Jr.. He is survived by: his nephew Sean (Deborah); his great-nieces and great-nephews, Trinity, Gabriel, Sean II and Alexus; Maia and Alessia. He is also survived by other family members and dear friends.
