He was predeceased by: his parents, John Bien (Jack) and Luella Bien (Wendlick); his wife Corine Adrienne Bien (Maguire); his in-laws, Mark and Adeline Maguire; his siblings, John Bien, Rose Harris (Tom) and Carol Besse; his son-in-law Ronald Hunter; his grandson Devin Bien; and his friend James Bresina.
He is survived by: his grandson John Deere; and his children, Debbie Bechel (Brian), Diane Hunter (Randy Matherne), Lisa Bien-Sinz (Paul), Laurie Harmon (Kirk), Steve Bien (Kristine), Shawn Schemenauer (Nick Blair) and Becky Bien-Jilek (Travis).
