Susan J. Bruce Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on July 16, 2023, at the age of 86, Susan J. Bruce (Eau Claire, Wisconsin) passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Susan J. Bruce to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, John Vankat and Betty Vankat; her husband Bob Bruce; and her sisters, Betsy Rice and Nancy Vankat.

She is survived by: her brother John Vankat (Betty Huffman); and her children, Craig Bruce and Carrie Hodges. She is also survived by many grandchildren, a great-grandchild, nieces and nephews and great-grand nieces and nephews.

A stalwart of the community, she served on the Eau Claire Public Library Foundation Board of Directors and raised funds for the "Secret Garden" sculpture that sits outside the downtown branch.
